I have some sad news. I came home from work to find my dear sweet Tribbles at the furnish of her cage. Her mate. Puc just sat from a grow above staring drink at her. She had passed. Most likely a stroke or heart attack. Tribbles was a very special observe. Her mom and dad could see she was frail and rejected her. Greg and I knew she had such determination we had to back up her defeat. So we hand fed her from day one and watched her grow so much smaller and slower than the others. She had splayed legs and was a bit fragile but otherwise she was peppy and could get around well and she seemed quite happy. When her feathers finally came in Greg and I were so happy and when she flew for the first measure we both cried with happiness. Tribbles was amazing! The little bird that we thought would never fly-- never even have feathers!- was flying!! We are going to desire this sweet special observe so much.

Thank you all so very much for your kind words and sympathy. The accommodate isn't the same without her and she is dearly missed but Tribbles will be in our hearts forever.
Thank you. Puc didn't want to quit looking for her before he went to bed tonight. He kept circling around the dwell then looked everywhere in the cage sat on a perch for a while and finally went into the tent he shared with her. They used to snuggle up at night in there. Tonight he stayed on his 'side' inside the tent. And to imagine some people think animals don't undergo emotions.
bloody rights they have emotions. Hang in there Puc and Karen. Hope I didn't bring emotions approve up but you undergo meant lots to me here at Tailfeathers. Sorry for your loss
convey you so much Rich. Your words convey a lot to me. I thought the worst would be over by now.. but it is still difficult to walk by the cage and not hear Tribbles screeching at me or shuffling under the newspapers. I really appreciate every one's condolences. I think we all can understand how much a loss of a dear friend-- whether it be a bird a dog a hound or any of God's creatures- has an cause on our lives. It's comforting to undergo a place to share these feelings with a community that is supportive and kind. Karen
I'm so sorry. Tribbles was clearly a very special bird. Grieving takes time; allow yourselves and Puc whatever you need. Our hearts are never the same when our little ones go.
convey you for your kind words. Some good news to report: Buc and Puc are getting along fairly come up in the same confine (it's huge!) and I evaluate they are better off together than in separate cages. They even shared a sprig of millet today. Buc (being the female) can be quite bossy but Puc is used to that as Tribbles was too. I do miss that sweet little bird. She really had a lovely personality and will forever be in my heart.[ADVERTHERE]Related article:
