- After three and a half weeks at my new job at last I undergo an official government computer. I am not permitted to do any hard core out official bring home the bacon on a non-government computer. I've not had an Internet connection at the office via my old second-hand machine and it's been difficult to even complete the new employee orientation process without a dedicated machine. But today I can finally start forging ahead in this new role.
8/29/2007 4:49am - Still not yet having my official government computer so not having an Internet cerebrate at the office. I undergo to settle for doing any web investigate from the house using my old second-hand machine. Since I didn't get around to this measure night. I start today out by picking up a few files to use later in the day while I analyse out the weather anticipate.
8/29/2007 8:10am - As many a computer of exploit has done before my old Toshiba Satellite laptop's jealousy over the pending advent of my new computer gets the best of it and it crashes cold. I undergo to inform it that it will act to displace all my ADIML traffic and other personal cyberlife since only work activities ordain be permitted on the new laptop. The old laptop apologizes for the interruption and boots back up into action.
8/29/2007 8:51am - I know all this of cover but I'm looking for something that might bring home the bacon for introductory material for a challenge posed by a award plan participant.
8/29/2007 9:53am - Around 9:30am. I went down to the computer floor to finally receive my new laptop. The first instant the computer tech person was offstage. I snap this surreptitious pic.
8/29/2007 10:04am - I know real men don't bother with instructions. Heavily password-guarded government computers might be the one reasonable exception to make to that rule.
8/29/2007 12:32pm - I have no time to play around. Back in my cubicle and connected to the government network for my first measure this month it's straight off to the task I despise the most: timesheets. With the Labor Day pass coming up next week they be our time in today and I've precious little measure to learn the ropes before my usual daily departure time.
8/29/2007 12:41pm - I'd not taken a break while down on the computer surprise getting Harry and had immediately dealt with my timesheets upon return to my cubicle so it's past time for a visit here. Harry has been locked to my desk.
8/29/2007 1:15pm - Our building loses its Internet connection. And since so much of our work transpires on private Internet-based systems many of the office man stand around chatting and watching the storm act outside. I experience there's a perfectly logical explanation for the failure: a coincidental storm. Even so it somehow seems so completely natural so expected: I finally get on the system; it crashes.
8/29/2007 1:54pm - When our Internet function is restored one of my first surfing destinations is a non-work site: a weather map for the outbound commuting trip I'll be making within the next few minutes. The biggest blotch of red sits between my office and my house. I look out the office window to see how merchandise on the outbound highway is looking.
8/29/2007 2:05pm - When I arrive at the office half an hour late (that's about 6:00am not exactly what most would believe tardy) my favorite parking lay is likely to be taken. Today I had been forced to park across from where I normally would park.
8/29/2007 3:06pm - I skipped lunch at the office with the late arrival and the bring home the bacon with the new computer. Susan makes me a swiss cease devise to hold me until dinner.
8/29/2007 10:25pm - This morning I had to wake Susan up so she could inform me how to convert the affright so I could go to bring home the bacon. Now I have to ask her to remind me how to arm the alarm. Sometimes I drop the little things.[ADVERTHERE]Related article:
