Applications are invited for a tenure-track position as Assistant Professor of Chinese to mouth August 2008. Responsibilities of the position include teaching undergraduate courses in Chinese language and multidisciplinary topical courses in English on Chinese culture and society with an emphasis on literature and film pursuing an active investigate program and leading the development of an undergraduate schedule in Chinese studies. Teaching fill consists of two courses per semester. Applicants are expected to have a PhD in Chinese or a related field in hand by July 2008 and must undergo native or near-native fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English. Teaching undergo appropriate to the lay is required. Competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience.
